Thank you so much for our stunning Benefit Concert. The stage, with its ultra-dramatic lighting, dazzled me, and the music, especially the finale, left me giddy. Outside of our own kids’ concerts, which hold a special place in my heart, I have seldom enjoyed a concert more.

It was a great night for Hamilton and the Academy of Music. Upon walking into the auditorium, I felt immediately enchanted. The stage and the lighting made me feel like I was at a big time rock concert. The new rug made it feel like a concert hall. The energy in the room was excitement, like something big was happening and I was a part of it.
Jazz Ensemble A has never sounded better. I’m, sure it was because of the Blood, Sweat & Tears horn section. “God Bless the Child” was a good as I’ve ever heard it. The band played up to the excitement and the level of the professionals behind them.
Jeff Lorber, especially his bass player and drums, was awesome. Chris Botti was as handsome as a movie star, charismatic, and dressed for the red carpet. Billy Childs was as exquisite as ever on piano. Paula Cole is a truly unique performer, a great songwriter with a passionate, no-holds-barred-voice, an original. Kenny G charmed everyone from the outset, walking down the aisle from the back, making funny faces as he held a note from the entrance door down the aisle, back up the other side, then down to the front and onto the stage. To those non-believers, he revealed his circular breathing technique.
A fabulous show, a packed house of appreciative celebrities, parents and fans. An unforgettable night for the Academy.
Thank you to all who were responsible.
