Musical Theatre Techniques 1

Initial training in all aspects of musical theater, including basic vocal technique, acting, movement skills, history and technical aspects of theater (lighting, costumes, makeup and production).

Musical Theatre Workshop

Continuation of Musical Theater Techniques 2 for the advanced study and the highly experienced performer; advanced instruction in stage movement, stage direction, voice, and drama; performance opportunities.

Prerequisite: 
grade of "B" or better in musical theater techniques 2, audition or permission of the instructor.

Musical Theatre Techniques 2

Study of character development, vocal technique for the actor/singer/dancer, exposure to American musical theater repertoire, in-depth study of audition techniques, scene work and directing; performance opportunities.

Prerequisite: 
grade of "C" or better in musical theater techniques 1, audition or permission of the instructor

Advanced Musical Theatre Production

From rehearsal to performance of a full musical theater production with extensive lighting, sound, costumes, sets and full orchestra; extensive extra rehearsal time is required.

Prerequisite: 
audition or permission of the instructor.
