Sarah Reich

After graduating from Hamilton High School, Music Academy, in 2007, Sarah Reich has been working more than ever in her professional tap dance career. In the summer of 2007, Sarah traveled around the country teaching at tap festivals in New York, St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles and also Edmonton, Canada. She started teaching tap at Everybody Dance, a dance program held in downtown LA. Sarah performed at Cal State University Long Beach with LA Ironworks, a tap group she is a part of, featuring pieces of her choreography. Along with Debbie Allen Dance Academy dancers, Sarah performed at the Herbie Hancock Tribute held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Dance Spirit Magazine interviewed Sarah on her latest achievements in the tap community for a full- page article featured in the December 2007 issue. Sarah traveled to Beijing, China in December to perform at Beijing's International Dance Festival. That was a wonderful and exciting experience for Sarah and while she was there she was offered to go back and teach Chinese tap students!

Coming up!

Sarah has a couple gigs at the Jazz Bakery in Culver City, performing with live jazz musicians. Sarah will be performing at the Women in Tap celebration at UCLA in February. She will also be traveling to Oklahoma to teach and perform at the 1st annual Oklahoma City tap festival. In the summer of 2008 she is already booked to teach in France and Canada at tap festivals. Sarah continues to teach at her home studio, (where she has been teaching for 5 years) to share the art form that she loves with others. Sarah has a deep passion for tap dancing and aspires to be a headliner in the tap world in the effort to keep tap dancing alive.
